Off late the issue on bullying and gangsterism has taken place as the focal attention in mainstream and social media. Therefore to address this, a round table discussion was organised to better understand and find solutions to the issue. The topic of the round table discussion is, “Strategi Dan Pendekatan Bagi Membanteras Dan Membasmi Insiden Buli Serta Budaya Gangsterisme Dari Peringkat Sekolah Hingga Ke Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) Demi Melahirkan Sebuah Masyarakat Yang Berintegriti Tinggi” (Strategies and Approaches on Eradicating Bullying and the Culture of Gangsterism in Schools and Institutions of Higher Learning In Order To Create Communities of Integrity).

The round table session featured three main discussants – YBhg. Datuk Dr. Mohamed Fadzil Che Din, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) of The National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM), YBhg. SAC Dato’ Zainal Abu, Principal Assistant Director (Community Police) of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK), Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), and YBhg. Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohamad Ali Hassan, Chairman of the National Parent-Teacher Association.

Among other participants who attended the round table discussion were representatives from the Malaysian Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Public Services Department (JPA), Institute of Teacher Education (IPGM), MARA Junior Science College (MRSM), MARA Education Foundation (Yayasan Pelajaran Malaysia), Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Civics Bureau (BTN), Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN), Department of Special Affairs (JASA) and relevant NGOs such as GPMS, NUTP and the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF).
